St. Maurice 50th anniversary
1960/2010
The year 2010, marks the 50th anniversary of St. Maurice Church. Archbishop Vigneron has accepted our invitation to celebrate our 50th anniversary Mass on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. This will be followed by our annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, September 12.
In order to coordinate activities during the year to make the celebration everything that it can be, we are organizing a 50th Anniversary Committee. Although chaired by Yvonne Nehmeth, we are seeking you to assist in whatever way you can, utilizing your talents, skills and ideas. For example, collecting old photos of events and activities from our parish life.

Plan to attend this year’s annual Picnic! We’re celebrating 50 years of faith! It will include food, fun and something for everyone. There will be games and treats for the children and adults alike! You can plan to enjoy the Cake and Wine Walks, Silent Auction and the Men’s Club Raffle Drawing.
MAKE IT A FAMILY FUN DAY - PLAN TO ATTEND!
The Parish picnic is a “free” event - so to prepare enough food for all we ask that you fill out and return the Gold Form that is found on the table near the entrance to church in the Gathering Area.
Please return to the basket by Sunday, September 5, 2010.
We will also be accepting donations of individually wrapped snacks such as chips, pretzels, bottled water and canned pop. Please drop these items off at the church by Sunday, September 5.
Silent Auction...Looking for your hidden treasures
Do you have any gently used treasures in your home that you would be willing to include in this years Silent Auction? Perhaps you are willing to donate a gift card to your favorite restaurant or business? This year we will be including items that have been stored in the basement for many years - glassware, statues, etc. Donations can be deposited on the benches near the Religious Education office or left at the Rectory office.

Please mark your calendars for the annual Fall Blood Drive at St. Maurice Parish on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 2:00p - 9:00p. Signup sheets will be available in the Gathering Area this weekend or online by clicking here.
A GOD BLESS...FAREWELL GATHERING FOR FR. TUFFUOR SEPTEMBER 25, 2010 FOLLOWING OUR 6 pm MASS
As Fr. Tuffuor has been asked to accept responsibilities in his home Diocese, he will be leaving for Ghana on September 30th.
On Saturday, September 25th, following our 6 pm Mass, we will have the opportunity in our social Hall to say THANK YOU Fr. Tuffuor for your sacerdotal ministry among us, to say GOOD-BYE, but most importantly GOD BLESS YOU in your new Diocesan duties.

Weekly Food Donations
St. Vincent de Paul will be accepting your non-perishable donations every Sunday which can be placed either in our Gathering Area or in containers at the entrance of the Social Hall.
Items can include: canned goods/meats/fish, boxed non-perishables, peanut butter/jams or jellies, coffee/creamers, hygiene items, diapers (infant/adult), laundry products, cleaning products, and paper products.
Should you need assistance in bringing in your items, please feel free to ask any St. Vincent de Paul Society member or an Usher for help.

Attention Adult Choir
Special practice With the upcoming 50th Anniversary Mass only two weeks away, the Adult Choir will have a special practice on Thursday, September 9th at 7p at St. Maurice Church. Refreshments will be served after practice. Please mark your calendar!
Women’s Retreat
Join the women of the parish signing up for the annual retreat at St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center on the weekend of September 10-12.
